Why the sad face?

If there's still heavy rain in a flowery fairy tale
and a big hole in a full and stuffed heart,
why not?
If there's still a tear in a cheerful soul
and silence in the merriest fanfare,
why not?
If there's still a bitter sound in a hilarious laugh
and numbness in a forceful motion,
then once again I would ask;

why not?
